1st ICRC CONFERENCE ON
WEAPON-WOUNDED CARE


17–18 DECEMBER 2024 — GENEVA

The 1st ICRC Conference on Weapon-Wounded Care aims to promote and strengthen the continuum of care in situations of armed conflict.

It will serve as a platform for specialists to share experiences, challenges, research and lessons learnt across disciplines and contexts.

These exchanges will help practitioners, academics and other professionals foster improved health outcomes and pave the way for an optimal standard of weapon-wounded care.

The aim is to enable specialists working in the field of weapon-wounded care to share their experiences and learn from each other so that, together, we can improve the treatment and care of weapon-wounded patients. »

We are delighted to announce the participation of the following keynote speakers for the 1st ICRC conference on Weapon-Wounded Care:

Dr Michael Ryan, Executive Director, WHO Health Emergencies Programme will discuss the role of WHO in standards for international trauma surgical assistance in disasters.

 

 

Dr Rahul Koti, Chief Surgeon at the International Committee of the Red Cross, will discuss war wounded care in 21st century, specifically the barriers and challenges to humanitarian surgical response in modern conflict.
